I dunno-I've been talking about this with friends recently because it's got me thinking...Have any of you guys out there noticed a change going on out there?
I know, I'm being deliberately vague; but this is a bit of a vague subject. I'll try and get more into specifics without naming names and all that:
There seems to be an increase in the number of 'bad' things happening to people around me...An ex-friends gets himself run over (3 times), I lose an uncle and a great aunt, a friend gets a tumour in his spine, another has a different form of cancer, several marriages and long-term relationships end, I and a friend have to rescue a woman in the street who is being wrestled to the ground by a young man, yet another friend of mine suffers whiplash from a prang at a roundabout while an old friend alost cuts off his hand in a chainsaw accident, not to mention the two strokes affecting people of my age...
And it doesn't stop there: I've had reports from friends about their friends dying or being injured. Not to mention someone throwing a pint glass at someone in the Tart last friday and a woman being punched out there the day after.
All this has happened in the past month or so.
What's going on?
I'm not given to religious beliefs and I certainly don't believe in karma; life has taught me that much. But it's like there's been a sudden increase in bad shit going on.
Is there something in the air? I know that a few of you out there have noticed it too.
I'm not overly worried, but you have to admit it's damn strange.
In fact, going back to the glass-throwing incident, I have to say that was a first for me...I'm 35 years old and I have NEVER been in a pub at the time of any incident of violence...It's like I have an aura of "nothing untoward will happen" surrounding me.
My powers are weakening!!!
But seriously, it's weird.
mabye it has something to do with the changing seasons? but yes by the sounds of things negative events are massing to give an interesting one today a "friends of the earth" representative was very rude to me boarderline aggressive!!! which strikes me as a irony in its self....
